The champions, first and second runners-up of the Adamu Yola Cup on Thursday 5th February 2021 received their full prize money in Gombe.
The ceremony which was held at the Gombe State Football Association Board Room, Pantami Stadium, Gombe was witnessed by few fans and members of the press while observing the COVID-19 protocols.
Representative of the FA Chairman presented the cheques to the various club representatives.
The donor Pastor Yakubu Adamu Yola through Architect Sule announced on the last day of the tournament that winners will go home with Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira while Three Hundred Thousand Naira and One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only will go to the first and second runners-up.
Coach Mohammad Rene thanked the donor for this great initiative and also the members of Technical and Local Organising Committee headed by Mr. Promise Uwaeme.
“We thank the donor for giving our youths the opportunity to showcase their talents,” Mohammad stated.
“We are proud of the works done by the Technical and Local Organising Committee towards the success of the tournament and I want to assure you all that the teams will continue to follow the lay down rules.”
The Technical and Local Organising Committee was dissolved to mark the end of the 5th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup.
