In a thrilling finale to the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), Kebbi Beach Soccer Club emerged victorious, clinching their third title in four years. The Super 4 playoffs in Kaduna showcased exciting beach soccer, with Kebbi BSC defeating Kebbi United BSC and Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors to secure their championship. Despite losing their final game against host Kada BSC in a penalty shootout, Kebbi BSC had already accumulated enough points to claim the title.
Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors impressed with their second-place finish, while Kebbi United BSC took third place. Sadiq Umar emerged as the top goal scorer with 17 goals and received the Rising Stars award. The awards ceremony also saw Basorun Festus named best goalkeeper, Hassan Abdullahi receive the MVP award, and Kada BSC win the Fair Play award.
The winners received cash prizes, with Kebbi BSC taking home 600,000 Naira. The event was attended by esteemed guests from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and beach soccer community. Kebbi BSC’s historic win solidifies their position as a dominant force in Nigerian beach soccer.
